There is a reason Wendy's weekend natural wine & cocktail bar tours sell out months in advance. She's been featured in The New York Times | Forbes Magazine | The Wall St Journal | NBC TODAY | Travel + Leisure | Food & Wine Magazine | The Travel Channel with Andrew Zimmern + Anthony Bourdain
These weekend experiences are geared for a younger, Bourdain-style mindset – looking to eat & drink through everything the next new generation of Paris’ chefs & bartenders’ are creating. Are you open-minded to eat and drink everything? Can’t wait to eat oysters, sardines, paté, foie gras, squid, sweetbreads, langoustines, scallops, mushrooms, truffles, etc.? You’re looking for a lively, fun night out standing up (no seating) while eating & drinking with the locals in all the hot new places – this is for you.
A private tour means you’ll be able to dig in deeper, eat + drink what you want, linger, laugh, and ask questions.
- Discover the delicious insider addresses you’ve been reading or hearing about.
- Eat through my East Paris 11th arr and Marais neighborhood’s natural wine & cocktail bars with great small sharing plates, fun people and vibes.
- The tour is customised for each group, not each person in the group. Each member of your group should be excited to eat and drink everything.
- You will never be treated like a tourist and you will NOT be with a group of strangers…just you and me, welcomed like local family + friends
The Price is based on 1-4 people travelling together, not per person.
Price Includes: A private, fun, informative tour, Wendy’s time, industry knowledge, local expertise, organization, personalized tips where to find the best local spots and a great time.
Price does not include food and wine because Wendy wants YOU to choose what you want to eat + drink. You have complete freedom of what/how much you want to eat & drink. Food cost is no more than if you went on your own. Wendy will have a few bites & sips here and there, but that’s it.
Average prices of wine and cocktail bars: Small sharing plate bar snacks + glasses of wine are from 5-12€. Bottles of wine 20-40€. Wine & Cocktail Bars are always a la carte giving you the freedom to choose your way around the menu.
For lunch or dinner, menus are still a la carte but more substantial sharing plates than bar snacks. Average prices 8-30€ per plate. Bottles of wine 20-40€.
Because its just us, not groups, dates typically sell out months in advance. Try to jumpstart your relationship with the city & locals by booking this on the front end so you get the feel of the place. Nothing, makes me happier than seeing you again after our time together – using your new food + wine knowledge – living your best Parisian life like a local.
Choose your date and time on the calendar and “book now.” There I’ll ask you specific questions so that you can let me know your dates/priorities/interests. The more specific you are, the better experience you will have.

“When we got back to the states and saw the article in the WSJ, watched Anthony Bourdain’s 100th show, and read Food + Wine / Travel & Leisure magazines – it affirmed our belief that our ‘Wendy time’ took us to the center of the food universe! Our time with her was amazing” – Peter G.
“Wendy As I’m sitting here on the plane waiting to head home I’m overwhelmed with JOY from our experience with you last night. I followed your Instagram and knew this tour was going to be special. You blew our mind. From front row seating at Clamato to tasting our first sip ever of pet nat to meeting restauranteurs we are just in awe. I’m happy to go home with bragging rights to some of the most eye opening foods and flavors you introduced us to. Our cocktail bar surprise was incredible. To a traveler who’s been to Paris like myself multiple times, if you think you know how to eat & drink this city, you are wrong – YOU NEED Wendy. You will experience Paris like never before. Wendy made us feel like her old friends. I hope you meet up with you again. Thank goodness for Instagram. With kindest regards – Sue & Jeff
Yes, she is the most expensive private food tour out there but, wow, is she worth it. Within 30 seconds we realized we’d hit the jackpot with a star. She is a natural teacher, she opens your eyes in ways you didn’t think possible, she’ll put you in the know of the real Paris food world that you never knew existed so that you see Paris through different eyes for the rest of the trip. Cliché macarons? Forget it. Try drinking wine with chefs for lunch at a wine bar that will blow your mind. She took two strangers (us), embraced them as if she’d known them the whole of her life, and educated them on le vie a Parisienne (et tout de France!) We still talk about the trip and for me, there is NO WAY we are going back to Paris without another Wendy Lyn date.
